Back from Copenhagen.
Arghhh... and i think i've hurt my back! Damn... Worked too hard already, or maybe i was no longer as fit as i was. Whatever, think i need to go do some exercise or take up some sports already.
Beside the fact that some individual can be petty and harbor bad intentions even after many days really pissed me off, even till now, either than that it was an excellent trip not to say the least. i've managed to cover 2 destination in 1 trip- Copenhagen itself and the town of Malmo, across the Swedish Boarder. Heee... Sweden Leh! hahaha...
Oh, and for the record i did nothing wrong and for those who know me well, i avoid conflicts at all cost, even if it's at my own expense. i'm seldom so worked up, but this time it was really too much!
NA BEI...
Oh well, since i've gotten more out of life than him so i should be the bigger person. haha... Ok, u piece of shit, i forgive u. haha...
Anyway Copenhagen is a super expensive city to visit. My god, u know how much it cost u for a normal Mcdonald's meal? S$35!! OH MY GOD! i can't believe it and Singapore money changer seldom sell DKK (Danish Kroners), they dun even have stock in Changi Airport lor. U've got to go Copenhagen to change and they charge u 10% of the amount changed on Commission.
Crazy right?
One of the Captain commented that if u wanna come Copenhagen on your own to sightsee u need to strike Toto 3 times over inorder to come over. haha... I say, make sure it snowball to $8 million first then come. hahaha...
But Copenhagen is a beautiful city not to say the least. With its greenish-tinted copper roofs and european style building, it's really a sight worth all the "$30 - 40 meals" and very expensive entrance fees.
Often i hear crew say that once u see one part of europe u see it all, its buildings and architectures, but i really beg to differ. What we are able to see is just the tip of the iceberg, we have yet to experence its culture, its people and understand its history as to why they are what they are and who they are now.
Frankly speaking, the only way to experence a country is to stay there or work there for a period of time and live like them. There is still much to experience, much to learn and much to gain.

Here are some pics from the trip.
Me at Radhus, on the way to Stroget, sort of like the shopping avenue of Copenhagen.

The start of the "walking street".

Eh... passing by somewhere near Nyhavns, on my quest to look for the statue of The Little Mermaid. Yes i'm talking about the Little Mermaid that Hans Christian Anderson wrote and yes Hans Christian Anderson is Danish. Anyway there are many other statues in reference to his works as well.

Haha... Cute little Birdie...

Tada... found it at last, and it's damn far away, almost at the outskirt of town, about 4km away from our hotel.

The damn statue is in the water! Fuck it, time to jump into the water and get wet. haha... i need a closer shot!

Anyway there is nothing fantastic about the status, just that the amount of tourists visiting that place stirred up all the hype. Haha... They are in for a disappointment. The statue has been vandalised so many time most probably because people can't see what's all the fuss was about. haha...
On the way back to the hotel...

Seriously, i'm a bit lost already, they have so many streets and allies, and the map the hotel gave was just a simple map that dun show the small road or ally. It's rather hard to match your bearing with the Landmark.
But if i'm not wrong, we should be in the vicinity of Amalienblog- the queens palace. Anyway, where the hell would u find palace guards right and there was no other palace near by.

Nevertheless we still made it back to the hotel lah, our navigation skill wasn't so bad after all. A word of advice, take the city map from the information center or at the train station, coz it's more comprehensive, but do take the hotel one as well as it shows the locations to all the places u can sightsee.
Day 2, a visit to Our Saviour Church.

Making our way up the Spiral Tower.

Midway thru... and still many more steps to go.

And finally nearing the top. Na bei... so windy up there that my hair is all messed up! But the view was just magnificent! Full view of the city splendor down below.

Finally up to the top and a great view awaits...

And it's back to exploring Stroget again.

Tivoli- and i dun understand what's all the hype about this place.

It's a damn expensive amusement park, u need to pay about 75+++DKK to enter and u have to pay for all the rides as well. I think u can get a pass to all the rides for 200DKK. Eh... that's like paying S$100+ to go for amusement rides. SIAO... Go Genting cheaper. hahaha...
Day3, over the sea, across the Oresundsbron bridge, into the Swedish town of Malmo! Yeah!

If u like to know, the train ticket from Copenhagen Central Station to Malmo Central cost 244DKK for a 2 way ticket for 2 person. Something like S$35 per person.
Actually our initial plan was to visit Lego land which was like 3 hour train ride out of Copenhagen to somewhere in Denmark lah. haha... I also forgot where is it already. The Entrance fee was something like 169DKK and the train ride there cost about 200+DKK.
Haha... Going Malmo was a cheaper alternative. Besides, heee... it's cheaper too! Haha... After the Frankfurt / New York trip i really need to save money already!
Yeah! Welcome to Sweden.

In the middle of Stortorget square, with a statue of King Karl X in the background.

Hey... and i didn't notice that, what is that Lemmel doing? haha... I'm actually pointing to the Apoteket Lejonet Pharmacy which was established in 1890 and it's still functioning till now at it's original location.

Making our way to Malmohus Castle. This castle was also used as a prison in 1828 and was later restored as Museum in 1937. haha... Some history ah, why can't a castle remains as a castle.

And Malmo's map was much easier to use. More detailed. Look familiar eh... hahaha... folded the map just like how it was done back in army days, only that i forgot to telt the map and it's raining.

And the castle itself... Eh... Not very spectacular i know. haha...

Fooling around in the Museum. haha...

To Lillatorg for lunch.

St Peter Church.

A walk in Kungsparken Park before heading back to the central station to catch a ride back to Copenhagen.

Anyway the whole river was full of K1s lor... Reminded me of those nostalgic Kayaking Days in Poly. The scent of sweat and victory seem all so familiar. Someday, someday i shall regain those former glories once again.

The man is not lost yet as long as his heart is not lost. The glorious gold still looms and victory awaits... haha...

Oh... and for that past few days of my stay in Copenhagen, i couldn't catch the supermarket during it's opening hours. Amazing leh... They seem to be opening and closing at all the odd timings. hahaha... Lucky got Wendy's Chocolate from Dubai.
She had dropped it in my mailbox while i was on leave and had been sitting in there for a week. haha... So decided to take it with me to Copenhagen since i most probably won't be opening my mailbox till next flight. haha... Well it certainly did came in handy!

Anyway it felt really good to be back. i'm feeling really mentally drained and really needed the rest. Although it's not much but it will do.
