Back from Frankfurt / New York!
Yeahhhhh... Finally gotten one of the most sought after flights, haha... not to mention the boost to my allowance. haha... But what the heck, i've spent everything while i was there. i pratically worked for my trip there. haha... and Frankfurt / New York is not an easy flight to do.
OMG... All my hard earned money... Argh... Nevermind...
Well, back from a shopping trip and almost $2.5k poorer, this has got to be my most expensive trip ever and i hope it stays that way, if not i will most probably be broke by end of the year and have to go declare bankrupt already! Haha... *choy~ Touchwood* hahaha...
Heee... Ladies and Gentlemen, i present to u my LV bag, haha... Which already cost me the bulk of my allowance. Yah Yah... U all may think i'm damn materialistic and have join the forces of "plastic", haha... But all i see is that a bag is still a bag. I got it partly becoz i kanna "stirred" and secondly, becoz i wanna know what's all the fuss about getting one and thirdly to strike off one more item from my "must-have" list. MUAHAHAHAHAHA...
So how do i feel about carrying one? EH... not really very thrilling leh... The most thrilling part was giving your credit card to the guy and as he swiped the card, at that very point in time, u see a "4 figure" credit card bill flashed before u in your mind. haha...
Anyway while in Frankfurt, i saw our 884 "best trainee" Lionel, haha... Although certain things had happened between him and our batch that strained our relationship, but batchboys will always be batchboys. It's great to see a familiar face in a foreign country, halfway round the world.
Something like bumping into a long lost friend at orchard but just that it's in Frankfurt.
After 2 night sleep in Frankfurt, it was off to New York.
Went shopping on the first day in NY, only to raked up more damage on the wallet and the second day was a disaster as it started to rain cats and dog, cows and donkeys while we were visiting Liberty Island. Best part, barely a week and my LV has already gotten wet! haha...
I'm so lazy to type, i'll just let the pictures do the talking. Anyway i heard Pauline say she dun even read the entire post at all, she just see the pics. Haha... I've save the trouble of typing.
Ok, so day 1 in New York- Sightsee and SHOPPING!
The glitters and light thru Times Square and Broadway at night.
Day 2 in New York.
And it's back to where we were on the first day! Hey... and i thot we were on standby. hahaha...
Wooooo... and u guys will love this A&F, haha... 4 Levels of A&F, i've never see such a big A&F store before. haha... and i think they employ only hunks and babe there coz all the gals there are chio buS and the guys are so beefy. haha... Plus it looks more like a club inside with all the blasting R&Bs and lightings.
Damn if singapore had an A&F store back when i was in Poly, i would sure go there and work lor... haha... Yes, i'm am BEEFY... hahaha... Back then lah! hahaha... Dun believe go my friendster and look at my Canoeing days pics.
3rd Days was spend on some last minute shopping with Karine.
Anyway it was supposed to be departure day, haha... Decided it would be a waste to sleep in the hotel since it would only be about 8 hours flight back to Frankfurt. Yah lah, it would be freaking madness with 2 meal service, but what the hell, everyone would be going Frankfurt to crash anyway.
One last stop at Hershey's to pick up something for someone... Heee...
Overall it was quite an experience after finally getting to see and walk the streets of NY. i've always wanted to visit NY after watching all those movies and serials on TV.
New York is so Huge that u can forget about finish walking it in a day. Well, unless u are commando ofcoz, hahaha... But the rule of thumb is that if u were to go Abercrombie u can forget about going Macy or American Eagle, coz they are on the opposite end of town.
But for the gal, they have an advantage coz their Coach and Victoria Secrets are all over New York. Shopping are for Gals! HA!
Nothing much in Frankfurt after finally deciding that i've spend enough and it's time to save money. Went to spend whatever Euros i've left on Giotto and Hanutu Chocolates and as well as some German Sausages! Yummm...!
Anyway the Yougurt is like damn cheap, Less than S$1 for 1 and that is a fucking big Sausage! haha... And my cargo bag is now damn full, almost couldn't close it.
One last chance to sightsee before we go. This is why i always love evening departure, u can always fully utilise the time at a station.
Last stop- Senckenberg Museum. Let's see some dinosaurs! hahaha... Anyway they have a couple of real dino fossils. Impressive!
And this is where i dropped my damn camera, and now the telescopic section is dented. Actually it was worst than dented, it could not retract back into the housing, only after must prying, banging, pushing and pulling at it that i've manage to fix it. Well... looks like i need to get a new camera.
Hee... No lah, it's just that i need an excuse to buy myself a DSLR. haha... The camera is still working fine actually.
Finally it's all the way home. 777-300ER, my Favourite Aircraft, welcome to my office.
Anyway u won't believe the tax refund that i've gotten back, haha... It's in "3-digits" Euros... haha... No need to change money for my next Europe flight already! haha...
