To Rest the Tired Mind and Body
Sunday never felt this good ever since... errr... dunnoe when. Strangely i always dread sunday coz it's a damn lonely day at home, there's always the constant naggy feeling of restlessness. But instead, today i just feel like staying home. I even managed to take a nap in the afternoon, something which i seldom do.
Maybe it's because of the hectic past week or maybe it's because i had the most enjoyable time yesterday.
The hectic week has always been the same for the past one and a half months, but yesterday's saturday was different. I went East Coast to cycle with Violet, Lynn, AJ and Kaelyn after our First Aid Lesson. Lionel came to join us later with his blades. Anyway it was not just cycling, we went bowling and shot some pools as well. Seriously i have not had such fun ever since after i ORDed.
Hee... i've also not exercised much after my ORD as well. So yesterday was a great chance for me to work some muscles, which explains the aches today! haha...
Been pretty sick recently as well, could be due to stress, or could be the stupid haze from Indonesia. While having dinner at East Coast's JK Don, the TV was showing Jewel in The Palace and at the top left corner of the screen was showing the PSI index. NA BEI... the PSI was 113. In fact, ever since afternoon the haze was above 100. So while cycling in the afternoon we've been breathing in that shit already.
Seriously, this is not a new problem. It has been going on for the past 8 to 9 years and the world has gotten used to it. The complains were merely just for the sick of complaining, hoping something would change. But the fact remains, greed has always been the root of the problem. Slash and burn cultivation has always been used for self substained farming but judging from the big plots of land being burn, commercial farming seems most likely the culprit.
There is nothing anyone can do unless these people are being educated about the harm they would caused to the environment. But then again, their lives are already hard enough, do u think they would give a damn about the environment? So it all voice down to their government to make the changes. Whether anything has been done, all u have to do is to look out of the window during this time next year and u would have your answer.
Anyway the A380 has been grounded till Oct next year. From the looks of it i might even be able to train on the A380 by the time the company recieve them. For now, A380 are reserved for the damn senior crews only. haha... But at the rate things are going, by the time the company recieve half of its A380 fleet i would be senior as well already.
A380 or not, as long as i get AMS, EWR, JFK, FRA, LHR and so on... flights every month i would be smiling ear to ear everyday! ha! Let me chalk up on my IFA, meal and nightstop allowances and let me do some shopping! haha...
I'm a simple person and i'm not hard to satisfy.
Money and shopping, something to look forward to everyday!
**lalalala... Last day of SEP! Saying goodbye to training side soon!
Oh yah, last week i saw Aloysius (Rachel's brother) at STC canteen. Wanted to avoid him, but too bad my batchmates decide to exit by the door he was sitting nearest to. Guessed he saw me, so i might as well say "hi". Well, he was definately surprise to see me.
His response was, "wow... u joining us?" and then he saw my crew pass and was like "wow... u joined us already?" then he saw my SEP file, "Wow... SEP already?"
haha... er... more like i'm going to graduate really soon next month lor! haha... But bet he was surprise. But the ultimate question still came, "have u told my mom u're joining?"
This is one question i cannot really answer. The problem is, his mom is also my ex girlfriend's mom and there are something i dun want her to know. So the answer is "no, i've not told her."
Why i dun want her to know? It's a long story.
But i'm glad he let me make my own decision when to tell his mom. I think it would be most probably when i graduate. Or best... Never at all.
To the best of her knowledge, she thinks i'm working as an assistant engineer in a computer firm located somewhere in Pasir Ris, Heee... sounds familar right? Wait... Ah Bee... Isn't that your job? haha...
Frankly speaking i could have ended up working as an AE, but i chose to see the world. What does the world look like? There's still much to be revealed. Travelling is not just about sightseeing, it's also about experencing cultures and people.
Anyway last Wednesday i saw Quinn at STC canteen as well, she came back for Recurrent trainings. I already had my lunch so i just accompanied her for her lunch and did some catching up. The last time i saw her was 2 years back during my army days when we met up with Carina for Tim Sum at Dragon Gate Restaurant at Harborfront. Time really flies.
Soon, days at STC will become a distant memories, but one can only hope the friendship formed can stand the test of time and it may remain as true as it was today.
