There are something more important
than life itself- LOVE.

Yes, as mushy as it might sound, love conquers all. Fear grips us when we stare death in the eye. Yet, if death were to choose someone we love instead, fear would become courage, and our life would matter less. We will instinctly place our lives in harms way so the other may live.

I would say not all would do so, cowards do exist, but then again we are talking about true love here. Cowards do not know what true love is, for they fear the commitments and sacrifices that comes with love. it's true, everybody needs someone to stand by in times of difficulites and hardship. But how many are willing to return the favour, not to mention in times of danger and certain death.

I'm not asking for someone to jump onto a track infront of an incoming train to prove the person's magnitude of love. We should always treasure life for life is precious since u only have one anyway. What i'm saying is in time of danger, are u willing to protect someone at the expense of your own life?

I should say heroes are motivated by love. A leader's love for his country, a soldier's love for his brother, a parent's love for his child, a son's love for his family, a man's love for his wife. They give their lives so others may live their's to the fullest, instead of having all perish together.

Eh... But then again, crazy and suicidal people do not count. They do not value their own lives in the first place and often their death only brings about more hurting and sorrow than good.

i can't say if i will or will not, only that when the time comes i'll know my answer. Empty words are easy to say, many promised what they could not. Singaporeans live in a place far from disasters, over time, this made us complacent with our words and often, many thoughtless empty promises are made.

But what i can say is that when it is deemed necessary i will make that choice. To sacrifice oneself for the better of others.

Whether it counts or becomes a needless sacrifice will depend entirely on those being saved.

Hmmm... think i'm too free already writing about such topic. Hee... i've earned myself 5 days off since last Saturday. All thanks to my standby not being called up! Seriously bored today, ending up watching DVD the entire day. On a good note though, i've gotten my watch metal strap fixed yesterday and could now wear my watch to work!

One more off day please!
Today i'm on standby again. Haven't been called up yet and hope will never be. Busy day for me today again, as always when i'm back in Singapore. So much to do yet so little time. I really hope one day i do not need to rush here and there to settle my stuff.

2 days ago i went to Boon Lay to look for Wendy to get our World time watches. Yah... i got my watch alright, just that i've made it too tight and was so clever of me that i forgotten to take the metal links. i went back yesterday to get it fix, unfortunately the links were not there anymore and the sale person said he would have to order and get back to me today! i hope he rewally find the link. If not it will be a waste of money, time and effort.

Fuck... Things have not been going right for me these few days. I go about each day blur-like-fuck, one moment i was supposed to do something, the next moment i have totally forgotten what i want to do. My god... i'm like pratically sleep walking.

Someone please save me man!

Anyway hopefully i dun get called up today so i could at least go get my watch fix. That is if the person would call me at all... If u would like to know, the watch cost me $95. Yap... It's a discount consider it to be $100 plus. But with all the train and bus rides i've made. It's not going to be worth it anymore.

Ok ok... here are some of the pictures of my HKG/SFO trip as promised.

It's a 4 sector flight, that's why u guys thot i've disspeared last week. Went up to Hong Kong, then up San Francisco, then back down Hong Kong again and back to Singapore.

Eh... i actually posted a long entry for this trip, unfortunately there was error loading the entry, now it's not there anymore and i'm too lazy to retype everything. So i'll just post the pictures.

DAMN... These few days really suay...

Weling, Me and CS in China Town. CS drop by at SFO to look for us.

Me outside NORDSTROM. Think of it as our Vivo City. Freaking Huge for u to do lots of Shopping. U have your Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagles, Zara, 9 West, Guess, MNG, Coach, H&M, Bath & Body Works, L'Occitane and too many to name. Go see for yourself. haha...

Anyway just outside round the corner u have GAP and Old Navy.

Alcatraz- "The Rock". I always wanted to go there after watching the movie- "The Rock".

Suprisingly before it became a prison it was actually a fort defending San Fancisco.

Inside the prison cell block.

View of San Francisco Bay from "The Rock".

Lunch at Fisherman Wharf.

Tram ride back to Union Square.

Union Square, another "walking street". U can find your LV, 9 West and Macy.
Macy, 2 building, one for ladies one for men. 7 stories for the ladies to shop till u drop.

Back to Hong Kong again. TIm Sum session with my teamie!

Cute right? Porccupine puffs. haha... I think the filling is either red bean paste or lotus paste.

Last picture for the team before my camera battery died. haha... 1 week & 2 battery. Definately not enough!

If u ask me, Seriously i think shopping in the states in more value for money at this point of time. Everywhere is having sales on their current winter collection. Alot of items are going at half price, and the items are branded!

I bought my ~H2O+ product in the states, even without discount i still make a saving. I bought this serium at US$34, where the price is Singapore is actually S$71. Conversion rate is 1.54, so after conversion is actually S$52.36. Alot of saving right? haha...

Hmmm... Melbourne coming up next, provided i dun get called up today.

Back from Male
(Pronounce Mah Lay...) haha... Better know to many as the Maldives. haha... Land of Crystal clear blue water and white beaches. Male is actually it's capital lah.

Think of the Maldives as a group of islands on top atolls. The atolls creates a natural lagoon round the island which gives it it's paradise appearance. So imagine a chain of these islands! Each island has a different hotel resort!

The airport itself is on another island and the only transport to any of the hotel resort islands are by ferries, converted from fishing yacht.

Wow right? I was damn lucky to be call up on this flight lor, i was put on standby on New Year Day and they gave me Male! hmmm... i wondered who reported sick for Male. haha... Anyway now is monsoon season too, so we were lucky that it was bright and sunny while we were there.

Actually there really wasn't much to do there, which was a good thing. It's a rest and relax station where everyone could spend quality time with each other and hold a proper conversation that could last 3 to 4 hours with ice cold beers and cocktails.

All activities are all water related, shopping and sightseeing are non existent. Giving the island we were staying on only takes 20 mins to complete walking 1 round. haha... It's that small.

But it's an experence u won't gain anywhere else.

In singapore u swim with rubbish, there, u really swim with the fishes. Remember to bring some bread, U could make the fishes feed off your hands. Some of the fishes are as long as your arms!

*Lots of fishies fishies!

*Come fishies fishies, come bite the EY breadroll. I'll give u the Jclass one later! haha...

Anyway, this got to be one of my best trip ever!

*Eh... Damn small right? haha... Some Russian tourist took for us one. haha...

Guess what? i flew with Rujun for this flight to Male. Haha... It has been 4 yrs since i last saw her for the chinese new year gathering lor. Haha... I was hoping to see her for Chinese New Year gathering at my Second Uncle house, hee... but instead i get to see her in advance!

How are we related ah? Very complex lah, we were also trying to explain this to the rest of our crew. haha... She's my 2nd Aunt's (二舅妈) niece. While i'm the nephew of my 2nd Uncle (二舅). So that makes us sort of cousin. haha... complex right? haha... But let's just say we are related and in the past we used to see each other at my 2nd Uncle house for chinese new year gathering. Only the last 4 year we've not done so.

But we didn't realised we were flying with each other till after we finished the service! haha... She suspected it was me coz i still sound and look like me, while i only thought she looked familiar. After service we were chatting and she dropped some hint and finally asked if i knew YiZhi. haha... Immediately i know it's her already! haha... so "duh" of me leh...

U see, YiZhi is our common cousin.

At first everyone thought we were school mates which was also true, coz we both studied in the same polytechnic. Haha... Only later after we told them we were sort of cousins, they were all damn stunned. So was the first officer lor... haha... He was super stunned.

Anyway although i get to access "Crew on Flight", i didn't know it was her coz only her dialect name was reflected, but for me, my full chinese name and my "jonathan" was reflected on the "Crew on Flight" list. So that should have ring some bells.

So glad we've finally gotten to meet up after so long. haha... But i never expect will be on flight. I think, things will always work itself out in a way or another.

We even got to work together on both sectors. Hee... Might be the IFS decide to let the cousins work back together on the returning sector. haha... True or not we dun know, but i had a great time working with her. Click damn well man! Duh... Cousins mah... haha... Hope we'll get to fly with each other again in the future.

This is another great flight not to say the least. Light load there and moderate load back! haha... 4hours 25mins, one chop chop supper service and happy passengers. My kind of flight!

Anyway Male is my kind of destination as well, the Sun, Sea and Sand. Oh... If u have not forgotten, i'm still a beachboy! hahaha...

lalalalalalala...
