YaY! I've got a Job, but i'm Still Broke!
Such is the fact of life. Salvation doesn't always come on time. Haha... Nevertheless it still does come. Well... Better late than never. Yes dear friends and foes, I've signed my contract last friday.

What job? hee... If up till now u still dunnoe i think u are not my friend. haha... Neh... Just kidding, It's just that i can't really post my job title here. There are something i've to be careful of what i'm posting from now on. haha... Wanna know? Give me a call- which u should, coz it means that u have not asked about me for a long time that's why u dunnoe what i'm doing! haha...

Yesterday i went out with Chin Chun. He saw me on msn and asked me to accompany him to orchard to go buy a present for a GIRL! haha... Ask me to meet him out for 2 hours after which he will go for Bennoot's Birthday party. Yah... i wasn't invited! haha... But i didn't mind, coz if i go i've to contribute $10 for their birthday gift or something.

Oh shit... then here comes the "lost form" part.

Earlier on in the early afternoon, Ah bee said on MSN she would be going out. Haha... But she never tell me it was orchard! Thinking that i would only be out for a while with my army buddy, i decided to dress down! haha... Actually it was last night's outfit. It was still fresh anyway coz i didn't wear it for long yesterday either. Saved on my ironed clothes for other days. Yes... I iron my clothes, i dun wear crumpled clothings out. I couldn't be bothered to wear my contact lens either and wore glasses. Within 10mins i was out of the house!

Haha... Then so "heng", after shopping at Wheelock place, we went over to Far East Plaza, and Ah Bee & Karen was there. Oh my God... When i saw them, they saw me too! haha... No place to hid! "Lost form" already! Then Karen & Ah Bee cannot stop laughing liao.

Beside going out with my army mates and canoeing guys, i dun usually wear sloppilishly out. Ah Bee was lucky she get to see me in that state. Haha... As for Karen, she's canoeist too so she saw me "lost form" many times already! haha... hey... Ah Bee... Next week after work we meet out ok? U can see me in my office wear! haha...

I so "sian" today, spent the whole afternoon vacuuming the house. The house always seem to accumulate dust at a super fast rate! I can vacuum the house today and it would still become dusty tomolo. I wonder where does all the dust comes from. Besides that i still washed the dishes, brought down the dried laundry, fold them, washed more laundry and hung up the fresh laundry!

Phew! Finally finished now, at last!

Actually i was supposed to do my japanese assignments. i still got 5 chapters to complete and the new class for the intermediate term will start on the 28th of Aug! Plus i'm starting work next week. Where am i gonna find the time? i'm screwed! Someone lend me their homework to copy lah! haha... Drastic measures already!

But this is actually the least of my worries. I'm worry i would not be up to standard for JLPT 4 on 3rd Dec. I've just registered for JLPT 4 last week. Hee... Coz i know someone will be taking too and her mother will sure "how lian" to me one! Better shut her up! haha... I really cannot stand it, damn naggy u know! Anyway my japanese is better than she thinks. SHe doesn't know i'm intermediate already! haha... Better not let her know if not she will ask me give her daughter jap tuition. Siao!

Speaking of Japan, My sister just came back from japan 1 1/2 weeks ago. She bought back so many jap goodies! This is the first time i saw so much jap goodies leh! It's like last time i go for 3 weeks taiwan training trip like that! haha... Even my cat has got its share! Japanese Cat Food! Er... but she forgot to buy for the dog. haha... But the dog get to share with the cat lah!

This is actually tuna fish! Actually it's good enough for human consumption!

Oh... I forgot to mention, i met up with Tzeyong, Jiahui, Jiaying and Karen last friday night! haha... And since i was dead broke Jiahui decided to treat me dinner! haha... Thanks! I'll treat u back when i get my pay!

It has been a long time since i last saw tzeyong! haha... but he still looked the same except he now wear shoes! haha... Last time he goes everywhere in slippers! After dinner all of us stopped by at the starbucks at the Crown Hotel. The one that used to be the Hello Singtel shop. Chatted about all the fun things in the past. The Bali trip, the Ophir trip with the problematic girl in tow and many more. haha... Really miss those times, all the really funny times!

Hmmm... But now since we have all ORD i think we can relive all these fun times again! Think can start planning again! haha... Tzeyong, Bali again? This time remember to remove your lens before u sleep! If not have to call doctor in the middle of the night again! haha...

Midori Martini + Lychee Martini + Heineken
equals mega headache.

Haha... Finally, last night i went out with Jinny, the one half of our favourite Korean duo and that's after a series of botched outings for the past 2 months. The worst was 3 weeks ago, when she SMSed me at 1 in the afternoon to go watch movie and i didn't see it till 6pm. haha... I almost wanna go bang my head on the wall. Haha... Nicole say i really am an idiot boy!

Yah yah... A series of wasted opportunity, it's either on that day she fell sick, i was not free or something else.

Anyway yesterday she msg me in the morning and said it's her off day and i so happened to be free, so i asked her out lor. Impromptu lah, but in the end we still managed to have dinner, catch a movie and go drinking- her favourite. Ha ha! Not bad given the fact that whenever i want to go out there must always be a fixed plan, alternate plan, route of advancement, alternate route of advancement, LZ, alternate LZ, withdrawal route, WPS and... haha... Very Ops order hor, very army style. Hee...

Yah, better stop writing about army stuff before someone says she could hardly read past the first paragraph. haha...

I mean it can't be helped lah, even before army i was already like that, i like well worked out plans, including some time allowance factored in. This is the only way i could keep a tight schedule and maximise time usage. And yes, i keep an organiser! My last organiser was a Sony CLIé. Yah it's a PDA, I think the last time i used a hand written one was in secondary School! haha... So "how lian" right? Yah... Can't be helped coz it helps me stick to my schedule and i'm so damn proud of it!

Anyway after i got into the army i didn't use it anymore. There's nothing to plan, 6 days a week i'm in camp! What the heck... Half of Sunday was spent sleeping away and after that it is very sinple, go watch movie, shopping, dinner then book in! Who the fuck need to organise that? haha...

Ok, back to the outing subject.

We met up at 6pm at somerset and since we didn't plan anything, i let my instinct take over, ermm... actually more like my stomach. I was damn hungry coz i didn't have lunch and decided to head to Takashimaya for dinner. So happened that on the way there we passed Orchard Cineleisure and we decided to watch a movie. We bought tickets to the 7:20 "Tokyo Drift" then head for dinner again.

Surprisingly Jinny request for local food leh, the last time i had lunch with her she wanted korean food! haha... Good good. We had chicken rice for dinner. White and Roasted Chicken, plus 油菜, chicken liver and gizzard. Anyway i also found out from her that Koreans also have a gizzard dish, but it's prepared differently. Anyway she like the gizzard also lah, but i can't say the same for the Chicken liver! haha... I like both!

"Tokyo Drift" wasn't too bad, but there's something i still dun get it, imagine u go over to japan and study, u dun know the culture and the language, but within a week or two, u like can understand everything liao. I still remember my first 2 weeks of jap classes and i was still blur like fuck lor... Mind u, my jap classes were everyday one! haha... Either than that the show was enjoyable lah...

Then movie ended at 9 plus then we headed down to ice cold beer, or rather the pub beside it. Dun ask me what is the name lah, i always forget one, just that both pubs belongs to the same establishment! It's the same place we went to for our jap class drinking session. Actually didn't really wanna drink lah, but can't help it lah, haha... just too tempting liao, Martini~ 2 for $15. haha... I just love 1 for 1 drinks. Unfortunately their "1 for 1" is really "1 for 1". U buy 1 Lychee Martini for 1 Lychee Martini. Photocopy one! haha...

Anyway i love Lychee Martini! My Favourite!

Ai yo... But too bad, first round Jinny ordered Midori Martini, so the drinks "photocopied" liao so i've to drink with her, Not really very nice leh... Haha... Then it's my turn to order, Lychee Martini! Yay! Jinny Prefer the Lychee Martini in the end! My taste never wrong one lah. haha... Finally we order Heineken, haha... beer can never go wrong! Anyway the drinks are giving me a headache this morning. Liqour and beer dun really mix well ah... haha...

Drinks and chat brought us to the top topic of Nari, the other half of the korean duo. haha... Seems like Nari doesn't like Toshi. Just that that night in the car on our way home, he 自作主张 put his arms around Nari. Made everyone thought that both of them were couple. (haha... Dunnoe what i'm talking about? Read Friday July 14, 2006- Hangover Day Post.) Nari was too knocked out to remember anything. Someone like took advantage of a drank gal leh. Even Jinny wasn't too happy about it! Toshi still say Nari made the first move to lay in his arms. Wah lan... I know sometimes as a friend u can lend a arm to cuddle up into, but that day really was as if he was acting like her bf lor... Ai yo... Korean drama serial liao. haha...

But glad the truth is finally out and everybody can breathe easy. Toshi isn't exactly the type of guy u would intro to your close female friend. Although as a guy, it's fun to have him around. Haha... Actually someone else also likes Nari but dunnoe he still likes her now or not. haha... Think he might still have chance. Me? haha... nope. Jinny asked me that question too, if i liked Nari. haha... In the past- Yes, Now? Only as a friend.

We still chat about alot of things lah, but soon it's 12 plus already and it's time to go home! I sent her back by cab before going back. haha... Late liao lah, a gentleman should always send a lady back and not let het go back alone lah.

Anyway think alot people have this question on their mind, "Who does Jonathan like?" haha... actually i dunnoe leh. It's not that i cannot make up my mind, but it's more like i can't find the feeling. U know the "falling in love kind of feeling"? Maybe it's due to the stesses caused by my job search as well as my diminishing bank account. Currently i have less than $20 in both my UOB and POSB account? I have never been so broke in my life before. haha... Who wanna rob me? With so little money. I think a gal would be the last thing on a guy's mind. Haha...

I I think i shall wait till i get my job and earning a stable income before i start thinking about starting a relationship with someone. haha... But then again, with more money and higher spending power, i would most probably be too busy indulged in my favourite activity- SHOPPING! haha... "Retail Therapy"!! YaY!!

Post National Day Tributes to the Commandos.
Heee... Ehhh... All the "anti-Jonathan" one ah, u can cover your eyes for this post if u want. It's my ego speech again! haha...

Watching NDP 2 nights ago did brought back some bitter sweet memories. Like every relationship close to the heart, it's filled with many emotions. Unless u are one of us, u will never get to experience it, nor understand it.

We're the men who stood the weathers of many hardships, sufferings and time. But it's thru these hardships and sufferings that we discovered our strengths and derived a sense of satisfaction that many man could only dream of. The term "brotherhood" has found it's true place amongst me and my fellow comrades. No other man will i call my brothers except these men who have shed their tears, blood and sweat with me. There would be no greater honour than to fight along side with my fellow brothers.

What made us the best?

It's not in the amount of trainings we had nor the numerous sophisicated weapons we possessed, but the mental strength and determination, attitude, courage and camaraderie that made us superior. We're not indestructable, but neither do we fall easy. Surrender? haha... Never! The enemy would have seen hell before they would every get close enough to us and it shall be the last thing their miserable life will see. Death will come swift to the enemy who would only get to see the flash of the grim reaper's sickle upon them before the darkness consumes them.

We do not throw away our life needlessly. A sacrifice shall only be made for a greater cause. If i were to die in combat, i would make sure it cost the enemy 10 times more.

In the end, it's not for the country nor it's constitution that i will lay my life down for, but for the one fighting beside me. He fought so to preserve my life, so will i fight to preserve his. If i'm wounded, i know he will run thru the hail of gunfires and exploding rounds to carry me on his shoulder to safety. And if i fall in battle, i know he will carry my body back to my mother. Because of that, i will do the same for him. Be it an Officer, a Sergeant, a Corporal or a Private, in battle we are all brothers. Never will we let each other lay buried in foreign soil.

No matter how hard the mission, we will never given up. Where people deem it's impossible, we will make it possible. Where hope seems lost, we will make hope! Coz if we can't do it, no one can.

True, our training can be tough and a real misery sometimes. I have sacrificed much during my time in commandos but looking back, i come to realised i've gained more than what i have lost. That is the priceless friendship that's formed during times of hardship and suffering, the sense of satifaction and achievement few will every get to experence and the privillage of calling the finest man in Singapore "my brothers".

Here is a favourite quote from one of our preATEC video.

Friday night = Drinking Session!
haha... but with a difference. haha... It's "Pauline Day"... (Sounds like "polling day" right? haha...) Think i'm hearing someone say "F*** U" again... haha! "Pauline day" is a post chicken pox celebration! Haha... After being cooped up at home for 2 weeks without any parties, We're throwing a party to welcome her back to the nice night lights once again and cheer her up! hahaha... Anyway Pauline even managed to passed it on to someone else within the 2 weeks... haha... Not bad for someone cooped up at home. haha...

Well... dun feel so bad, chicken pox can't be help! Every singaporean must kanna once then considered singaporean. Haha... It's a friggin singapore disease. Haha... Have U ever hear of Korean or Japanese Kanna Chicken pox or not... haha... No Right? Anyway i'm also singaporean, haha... i got chicken pox already "LAH"...

Here are a few update for fellow singaporean.
1) National Day is coming again. 9th Aug...

2) Commando is best combat unit again. 20th time.
Haha... i belong to the 19th time.

3) Commando are G.O.H (Guards of Honour) once again.
Haha... I marched as G.O.H in ALL of last year's NDP previews and Actual Day.

4) National Day will be held at the stadium. haha... *Duh*... haha...

5) Pauline has recovered from chicken pox! haha... And surprisingly still looking great!

5) And i have not recieved my bloody Email.
Think they wanna wait till NDP over liao then ask me sign my contract. haha... Basket.

Mine Still VGA neh... haha... Although without flash, just using night mode the camera still managed to perform well... Just wait lah... I going to change my phone liao. Once my Job comes...

Why? coz i got a splitting headache and i can't even go to sleep when i got back home! Wine is good for health, haha... But think i had a little too much! haha... Hey but it's damn fun! let's try that again sometime!

Speaking of feeling down, i really look sad meh that day? I always pass off as happy-go-lucky guy leh... haha... Dun worry about me lah! Yes, there were things weighing down on my mind, but there's no cause for concern. Anyway i was suppose to be the entertainer to cheer people up. haha... Dun snatch my role!

Good News day!
Today i recieved a good new that i've waited for almost a week! haha... Finally came in the form of a phone call at 10:35am in the morning. Haha... Finally 1 month of effort paid off... haha... Those that know please keep to yourselves first ah! :p Wait till i've got everything finalised then say... haha... NO... It's not Jinny... haha... But if her phone call come later at night then tomolo can go buy Toto liao... haha... 2 good news in a day is like lightning striking at the same place twice! haha...

Today is really a great day! haha... So must blog it down.

Anyway, stay tuned for the actual details which most probably would be posted in the middle of the month when i've settled everything. Thanks for all those who have supported and encouraged me all these while. haha...

Ohh... It's august already. Time to plan for my intermediate jap class. Hopefully all the timing will fit nicely in. Most probably i will join Nisho sensei class that will commence on 28 Aug. Haha... Might even get to take my JLPT 4 by December. Hope everything will go smoothly for me for the 2nd half of this year. Haha... But first got to finish up all the jap homework i'm still owing. 5 chapters i think... hee...

Hmmm... starting to have some post acne pigmentations... Time to start taking care of my face liao... haha... Face value is just as important for a guy. Well... they always say first impression counts. haha... dun want to let people think i have been hit by a claymore mine right? haha...

Opps... Hee... Overdue Blog Post.
hee hee... So so soooo Sorry... hee... was feeling really lazy these few days so didn't post anything up. Haha... For once TJW and Jason Ong post the recent outing faster than me. haha...

Maybe part of the reason why i so sian is becoz the 2 Korean Kimchi Babes are in Phuket on holiday! haha... while i'm rotting here in Singapore. haha... But thank goodness they would be back today! haha... Jinny~! haha... SMS gonna start ringing again tonight! muahahaha... i hope. haha... Or have they forgotten about me liao... haha...

Anyway here is the long awaited update for last Sunday's so called "Ex Platoon 7 outing". For those that were supposed to be there but never turn up! Basket! haha... U all better not be "chee honging" on that day! haha... Anyway not really platoon 7 lah, more like Det 1 and friends outing! haha...

Met up with Foo, Lazy, TJW, Chinchun and Fong at suntec at around 6pm. Hee... actually should be 5:30 lah... i was late. haha... Anyway they window shopping only lah... haha... and i waited for my mom to come home first before going out. Why ah? haha... I also forget already leh... But i thot it was important. haha...

Made our way to Golden Mile Tower at around 7pm to book the tables for the steamboat dinner at "Golden Mile Thien Kee Steamboat". Foo, Chin Chun, Lazy and me took the cab while Fong "tong pang" TJW on his bike. haha... Although we took cab, we somehow managed to reach first. Anyway sian... Reached so early also no use, the rest would only arrive at 7:45pm earliest coz they meet at lavender MRT at 7:30pm. haha... But in the end it wasn't that bad... Not everyone met up at the MRT station but instead, "own time own target" came streaming in by 7:30pm. haha... But our stomach can't wait anymore, we ordered half a hainanese chicken once we sat down. haha... The rest of the steamboat can wait till the others arrive! haha...

The menu... Lazy wanna eat beef, but i can't eat lah! haha...

Haha... U should see what else they serve inside... haha... Actually it's ok lah, but the direct translation and poor spelling made it very sound damn funny! haha... See the "Fried Pork Lives" haha... Then still got "Japan Pig Ribs" and many more... Sound damn exotic ah! haha...

While me and TJW were at the urinal peeing, Fong suddenly come between the both of us, haha... At first i thot he siao or what... We peeing he want to squeeze between us. Then he keep signalling us to look at the last cubicle, beneath the door. U know cubicle door never go all the way down right? It's for horror movie to have dead people crawling out of them to grab someone's ankle while they are peeing... hee...

Wah.. Chee... Really scare the shit out of me at first... My pee stopped in its track. haha... one ball of long hair rolling right and left. Haha... It was actually someone's head lah. haha... With long hair. Look like "The Ring" or something man! haha... But then again, it's Golden Mile Tower after all, i thot it might be some guy with some Thai gal having a "good time"... haha... I thot these Thai gals damn "hiong" can lay on the toilet floor to have sex coz i saw another shadow which was standing upright inside the cubicle and the shadow was moving about. I didn't thot much of it, so i continue to pee... non of my business anyway if anyone wanna fuck in the toilet. haha...

Then come another shock of my life, the head turn to me and smiled! Wah... Chee... It's a guy! Fuck... I thot it was a Bapok... KNN... Wah... i faster pee then wash my hands and get the hell out of there. haha... Lucky we're commando. haha... We never leave a man behind! haha... Fong and TJW waited for me before we evacuate together! haha... We later told the rest of the gin gang outside. Then everybody "kaypoh" rush inside the toilet to take a peep. haha...

The "Rolling-ball-of-hair" noticed the commotion and got up. Wah... We didn't stay to find out what happened and ran all the way out. haha... So u thot end of story right? haha... U guess wrong!

The "Rolling-ball-of-hair" came out of of his toilet trap to come look for us. haha...

It never occured to us he would actually approach us. Which he did after we stop running at the basement square. Haha... While we were talking about the incident, he came to us and asked, “为什么你们跑掉?" (Direct Translation: "why u all ran away?")

Ofcoz run lah... Siao ah! haha... Then wait for u to come bite us ah? haha... Who knows, maybe he is a serial ass-poker... haha... Fuck... TJW still go tell him, "哪里有人跑?" (Direct Translation: "where got people run?" haha...) Wah... i so scared the person go bite TJW or ass rape TJW leh. haha... Lucky nothing happened and we faster walked out of Golden Mile Tower.

After a short while, we didn't see the person following us, we thot he give up already. Then all of a sudden, he appeared with his bicycle to chase us! Wah Fuck! haha... We faster enter Golden Mile Shopping Center or something like that, then climbed the overhead bridge that was connected to the shopping center building. Wah... 11 commando reservists and 1 commando regular kanna chase by a mad man... haha... That's a first. haha... No choice, now cannot beat people up already! haha... So next alternative is to run lor... haha...

After shaking off that "rolling-ball-of-hair", we headed to boat quay. As usual, cab is always a problem, many were circling like vultures waiting for "On-Call bookings" and there were also those shameless bastards who would walk to a distance infront of u and flag down your cab. WTF!! happened to us 4 times that night already! We splitted up into 3 cabs, TJW, Wei Han and Me shared a cab and we were the last cab to arrive. SianZ...

We went to this KTV pub call Initial Pub or something like that. It's along the same alley as Eski Bar. Hee... The gals working there also not bad lah, quite chio one, haha... or maybe i drank too much liao. haha... Anyway, back to drinking again. Wah... whole night drinking liao. haha... But also not forgetting "talk cock and sing song" haha... Hey we are at a KTV pub afterall right? haha... Of coz talk cock and sing song lah!

Yah yah... That was what we were know as. haha... Coz last time during army "nights off" 3 of us will always be together playing pool. haha... Anyway the sequence is also correct! haha... SHE...

Hey anyway the place wasn't too bad, spacious enough, the place wasn't crowded and the drinks weren't too expensive either. haha... Plus got pretty gals serve us! haha... Ok lah... Money well spent. haha...

Oh my god, i spent $40 plus that night including cab fare, food and drinks... haha... die liao lah, today Jinny and Nari coming back Singapore. haha... Not much money left to go out with them for the week! haha... Hope the Korean pub they wanna go is also not expensive one! haha...
